Scouts are aged between ten and a half years and fourteen years, and can be boys or girls – the activities they get involved in are an extension of those in Cubs and tend to be more adventurous and challenging with a greater emphasis on the advanced Scouting skills. Scouts have the opportunity to do extended camps, cooking, canoeing, woodland games, axe throwing and many other activities.

Our Scout Pack meet every Wednesday during the school term-times from 7.00pm to 9pm at our Headquarters in Send.

See our Uniform page for information on where Scout Badges should be positioned.

About our Scout Leaders:

Our Scout Group Leader, Mark Silcock, leads a strong team of Assistant Scout Leaders and Young Leaders in providing an enthusiastic and busy programme for our Scouts.

We are always interested in welcoming new volunteer adults, either to bring a specific skill to the pack for one evening, or to help with the running of the Scouts.

Interested in having your child join our Scout Pack?

Such a busy and popular Section tends to be fully subscribed but, occasionally, a space comes up so if your child hasn’t managed to get into the Pack by natural progression from Cubs, and you wish to get him / her into Scouts, please email

New members will be able to have a number of ‘taster’ sessions to see if they settle in before any subscriptions are due and uniforms are purchased, so why not give Scouts a go?

Information on where to get uniforms, and what items are necessary can be found on our ‘Uniform’ page.
